Xtream Codes or M3U link: which IPTV login should you use?
Your Streamori welcome email gives you the same subscription in more than one format, because IPTV apps do not all ask for the same thing. Most apps take an Xtream Codes login. Some ask for an M3U link instead. MAG boxes use a third format, a portal URL.
All of them open the same channels, movies and series. You only need the one your app asks for.

What is an Xtream Codes login?
An Xtream Codes login has three parts: the server URL, your username and your password. The app connects to the server with them and loads the live channels, the movies, the series and the TV guide (EPG) by itself.
We recommend it whenever your app offers it. It is short to type, it keeps live TV and on-demand titles in separate menus, and the guide comes with it.
The server URL must be typed exactly as in your email, including http:// and the port number after the colon, for example http://server-url:8080.
What is an M3U link?
An M3U link is a single address that points to a playlist of all your channels. Your username and password are already inside it, so you paste one line and nothing else.
Apps for Samsung and LG TVs, such as IBO Player and Smart IPTV, use it with the MAC address of your TV: you paste the link on the developer’s website instead of typing it with the remote. VLC and Kodi read it directly. Our guide to IPTV on Samsung and LG smart TVs shows how this works.
What about the portal URL?
MAG boxes have a portal built in, so there is no app to install. You send us the MAC address printed on the label under the box, we link it to your subscription and send you the portal URL to enter in the box’s settings.
How to enter your login without mistakes
- Copy and paste from the email when you can, especially the M3U link.
- Keep http:// at the start and the port number after the colon.
- Check for spaces before or after the username and password.
- Usernames and passwords are case sensitive: a capital letter matters.
- If the app refuses the login, close it, open it again and try once more before changing anything else.
